Critical Migration Challenges during subscription transfer
Billing Switch
Billing Switch is a critical challenge even though CSP is flexible with no contract obligations, but eventually, customers want to move to EA for more customization and that’s why migration or movement of resources from one subscription to another subscription is needed.
Feature Availability

G7 CR - Migration Approach
Move Operation
When you switch from one subscription to another in Microsoft Azure, the move operation enables you to move a resource or a set of resources from one Azure subscription to another. The move operation is useful when you want to move resources between subscriptions and consolidate resources into a single subscription.
Re-deployment
In Azure to Azure migration, few resources can’t be transferred with a move approach and that’s when you need to go for re-deployment. The process of redeploying an existing deployment from one subscription to another subscription within the same Azure Active Directory tenant. This operation is useful when you must move a deployment to a different subscription for various reasons, such as billing, management, and security. You need to ensure that the resources used in the deployment are accessible from the new subscription.
Parallel Run
The parallel run operation allows you to perform tasks in both subscriptions at the same time, rather than sequentially. This can be useful when you need to update or migrate resources from one subscription to another, or when you need to perform a complex operation that involves multiple resources across both subscriptions.
Migration: Tenant Consolidation(Azure)
The customer offers advanced integrated technology for airlines’ supply chain, and provides everything airlines need, “out of the box.” The key functions include bookings, capacity, pricing, schedules, operations, and complete cargo revenue accounting. The solution comes with a powerful, built-in data visualization platform, and real-time track and trace. It is the comprehensive cargo package available today.
Challenges
Tenant consolidation was a challenge for the customer since it was operating under two tenants with various of its clients residing under those two tenants.
The first tenant was hosting the DevTest environments of the SK’s clients, whereas the second was hosting the production environments of the same. The selective clients of our customer needed to be migrated to a new Office 365 tenant.

Challenges
The customer wanted to facilitate cross-subscription and high-level migration from cross-tenants and shift workloads from one tenant to another (e.g., services, applications and data) to an Azure-based architecture. Below are some of the pre-requisites associated with this migration:
